We are CIMSPA
The Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA) is the professional development body for the UK’s sport and physical activity sector workforce and a registered charity, committed to supporting, developing and enabling professionals and organisations to succeed and, as a result, inspire our nation to become more active. Together we’re developing a vibrant, UK-wide sport and physical activity sector, with the highest standards of service delivery.
As the professional body for the sector that is recognised on the government’s Regulated Professions Register, CIMSPA has worked with professionals, employers and other stakeholders across the sector to develop criteria for issuing professional status to professionals working in the sector.
The professional statuses that we issue indicate a person’s qualifications, experience and commitment to meeting and adhering to the professional standards of their occupation within the sport and physical activity sector as well as our code of conduct.
